Tim Hockenberry and friends are back and San Francisco should rejoice. After a short tour as vocalist with the Tran Siberian Orchestra, Tim will once again settle in to the Rrazz Room for an extended series of one-nighters. With his primary backup band of Terry Miller on bass, Vince Littleton on drums and ace guitarist Gawain Matthews, along with some stellar guest musicians, Hockenberry will once again dazzle audiences with his playful sets of electric blues, funk, rock and ballads. New material from his latest CD Back in Your Arms with its sensational cover of the Beatles "Girl" and the heartbreaking ballad "Make Me Understand" and intertwined with amazing covers interpreted as only Tim can. Billy Preston's "Will It Go Round In Circles" thumps with energy, James Taylor's "Fire and Rain" is given a soulful, distinctive take, while Wait's "Jersey Girl" packs an emotional punch that is a hallmark of Hockenberry's characteristic style. If you love to move to your music or just sit back and be moved, don't miss these special evenings.
Tim Hockenberry & Friends play the Rrazz Room, Hotel Nikko, February 7, 14, 21, 28; March 7, 14, 23; April 13, 18, 20.
